On Friday I attended the Pennsylvania Conference for Women for my very first time. The conference was held in Philadelphia at the Convention Center. The day was inspiring and motivating for the 10,000 women who attended as well as the few renaissance men among the crowd, as the Board President Leslie Stiles described them. The conference started out on a powerful note with Amal Clooney hitting the stage and affirming that, "YES there is "Me Too" but it is time for "Never Again"". Throughout the day there were many other speakers and workshops going on that were full of positivity and support for women of all ages and backgrounds. My favorite area of the conference was the Exhibit Hall, probably because I was able to shop! The Exhibit Hall hosted the women's owned business pavilion, which was filled with local and distant vendors. I bought a unique handbag from Jonesys Accessories, and spotted the cutest shabby chic clothes from Penny Lane Boutique. Serena Williams concluded the event in conversation with Ellen McGirt. Serena was a class act and every women's dream best friend. She embraced womanhood by saying, "The success of another woman should be the inspiration for the next". The event was a day I will hold close to me and look forward to attending year after year.
It takes A LOT to stand out and grab someone's attention when you are among 10,000 women.
I wanted to bring you some of my favorite fashion looks from the event that stood out to me.
Who says girls can't wear suits?! Check out these stylish women suiting it up in bold prints and brightly colored menswear inspired suits.
You can't go to a women's convention with out your girl gang!
These ladies (and mayor) came together, and showed out together.
There were so many great outfits, but here are just a few that I was able to snag pictures of.
What do you think? #BestDressed
