My favorite season to style is the fall. The beautiful over coats, layered looks and chic booties pair perfectly during crisp weather. I was quickly reminded that fall is approaching with the cool air this week and went on an online shopping spree. Now I am patiently waiting to strut my new looks around. I bought most of my goodies on Zara. Their Autumn collection features plaids, pearls and my fav, PURSES! Although, before I get completely carried away with heavier fabrics and darker shades I like to get transitional pieces that can be worn during the summer and layered up in the fall. This look features 2 awesome pieces I am getting my use of out of currently and can't wait for fall to style them differently.
1.) Long Midi Skirt
You can never go wrong with a knit midi skirt. It's stretchy, comfortable material can be dressed up or down. I picked this skirt in a bright color to brighten up a simple look in the summer and to layer with dark shades in the fall for a pop.
2.) Oversized Sweatshirt
This particular sweatshirt was perfect for a transitional piece because it was sleeveless. During the summer you can style it with your favorite denim shorts and sporty sneaks for a casual look. When the cooler weather comes you can throw a printed long sleeve shirt underneath for a funky contrast. I plan on wearing this with a mesh/fishnet long sleeve.
I originally bought the shoes at Steve Madden last year but I linked an exact replica for half the price.
I bought the skirt in a large but wish I got the medium. It is super stretchy and long. I feel like the medium would have fit perfect!
If you are looking for a perfect oversized piece you need this sweatshirt! A lot of pieces don't fit over my hips even if they are over sized. I purchased this sweatshirt in a "M" and I love the fit. If you are petite you could definitely style this as a dress.
