The world wide fashion weeks that have crossed NYC, London, Milan, Paris and many other cities are ground breaking with new trends and one of a kind fashion finds. One of the circulating trends that caught my eye was sleeve detailing. On the runway the sleeve details can sometimes be unrealistic. When watching a show I wondered how I could possibly wear a sweater that has sleeves that would drag behind me when I walk. Let's be real, I can't! Very few people would wear styles exactly off the runway. Many designers exaggerate details on their designs to emphasize the show and make the trend they are capturing more dramatic. Unless you're a perfect 5'10 size 0 girl not all of the runway styles will look the greatest on you either. While watching the shows I find inspiration through textures, color variation, make up and the production of a show. Many retailers do the same. The best place to find fashion right off the runway but not as dramatic is the one & only ZARA!!! Zara looks to designers to find inspiration and then make more realistic and cost friendly versions of their styles. Zara has been spitting out brand new trends so quickly. It really amazes me how quickly they can replicate a look from the runway and put it in stores almost immediately. Recently I visited the Zara in Herald Square, NYC. I literally was getting a hot flesh because I couldn't handle all of the amazingness that surrounded me!!! One of my favorite trends that I saw in the store was sleeve details. Puffy sleeves, oversized sleeves, ruffled sleeves, embroidered sleeves and any other sleeve you could think of. It lined the store walls. I love sleeve detailing because it almost acts as an accessory to your outfit. Above I wore a sleeve detailed top with simple black jeans and black shoes. I added funky shades and a metallic bag for a pop of fun. Keep an eye out for dramatic sleeves, I am predicting it is going to be everywhere this 2017.
