Taking The Grunge Out of Fishnets

I am currently obsessed with the fishnet trend. I have been trying to incorporate it into my wardrobe without so much of a grungy look. Fishnets serve as a great layering piece. You can layer fishnet socks with a cool sneaker or clear shoe. Also you can pair fishnet stockings with super distressed denim or a leather skirt. All of those styling tips are right on trend but they offer a more casual vibe to your outfit. I wanted a sophisticated, sexy option to pair fishnets with. I bought the tank sweater dress (pictured above) on a Nordstrom sale rack in December. I instantly loved this dress because of its great length and black zipper detail. I only felt comfortable wearing it with a leather jacket or some sort of overlay. After all, it is the end of January and I am experiencing freezing cold weather here in Philadelphia. Currently I can't get away wearing this dress without some sort of layer. After searching for the perfect long sleeve fishnet top, I found a great cropped version on ASOS. I decided to go with the cropped version because it won't get all scrunched up under my dress. After I paired the fishnet crop top with the knit dress I updated my "little black dress" into a chic, trendy look. You can also go for a more casual look and pair this fish net crop top with t-shirts, tanks and other blouses.

Fishnets rock my world!!
