Bye-Bye 2016

Just like that! Thanksgiving, Christmas and 2016 is on its way out the door. I feel like 2016 flew by and that I wish had more to show for it. Sometimes I get caught up in life and the high expectations I set for myself and I fail to recognize the amazing things I have accomplished. 2016 was such an exciting year for me personally. I have been able to do some pretty awesome things with my fashion blog, went on a few vacations, graduated from college with my Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Marketing and the icing on the cake was to accept a job offer as an Assistant Buyer a few weeks ago. I worked SO hard to accomplish all of those small & big goals and I am ecstatic that I reached nearly all of my goals that I set for myself this year.

I always thought that New Years is overrated and well, I still do. At least the big celebrations and crazy parties for just another day is silly to me. I am going to take advantage of the idea of a fresh start though. This week I am de-cluttering, reorganizing closets, getting rid of old clothes, cleaning the house and preparing myself for a fresh start. The key to reaching your goals is setting a game plan. I'm going to set a list of long term and short term goals for the year and come up with a plan to reach them. You can never stop being a better you and that is my focus this year... being the BEST me every way possible!

I encourage all of my followers to do the same. Come up with achievable and difficult goals to accomplish this coming 2017. Don't be afraid to shoot too high. It is always good to challenge yourself. What's the worse thing that could happen? You don't reach your goal? At least you TRIED. I know I would be more upset at myself for trying and failing than not trying and living with regret.

Peace out 2016! It's been real.
