This look was extra special for me to put together. The jacket I am wearing is a vintage family heirloom that has been passed down by my grand mother. It is so hard to find a one of a kind piece that no one else has. This treasure has been sitting in the back of the closet for years. This jacket belonged to my grandmother, Pauline Pirozzi. She passed away when I was only 5 so my memories of her are vague. From the amazing family she created and the many stories I hear of her, I know she was hardworking, stylish, comical and a BO$$. You have to be a boss in-order to pull this jacket off... as well as raise 9 children. The infamous "Leopard Coat" has been used for Halloween costumes and family jokes. I've actually never saw this coat worn to stay warm or looking fabulous. I've seen my drunk friend wear it in his boxers and socks pretending to walk a runway, I wore it when I was 13 as a Halloween costume to depict Cruella De Vil and I'm pretty sure this coat ended up at Rutgers University at some point for pranks when my older sister went to college. Although my grandmother would probably never wear her leopard coat with a skully and skinny jeans, I think she would be very proud that I styled it fashionably - my own way. If you ever want to feel like a boss, throw on an amazing leopard coat and walk into the building like you own it!
In memory of my grand mother Pauline E. Pirozzi.
